About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Operations Director to join our team at Teva Pharmaceuticals. This is an exciting opportunity to lead site maintenance operations and contribute to the success of our organization.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in maintenance management, preferably with experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. You should possess excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of technicians and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the day-to-day activities of site maintenance, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Manage resources to support production demand, minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance.
  3. Lead project teams to execute renovation work and other projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Order consumables and parts for site consumption and maintain stores, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  5. Manage budgets effectively, controlling costs and maximizing value.
  6. Execute repairs as needed for both production and building, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  7. Identify, prevent, and proactively correct workplace hazards and conditions, performing incident/accident investigations and root cause analysis as necessary.

Hazard Recognition and Investigation Skills

You will be responsible for identifying and preventing workplace hazards, investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.

Role Modeling

As a Maintenance Operations Director, you will be expected to model EHS practices, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and procedures. You will also be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.

Your Qualifications

  • A professional license (electrician, millwright) or Science/Engineering degree in a relevant field.
  • BASc Engineering; Professional designation in Engineering (PEng) preferred.
  • At least 15 years' experience in maintenance management, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Chemical, Food and/or Pharma experience required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good knowledge of building life cycle and maintenance planning.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and professional development.
