CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Tax Director/Manager to join their team. As a key member of the finance senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing, managing, and executing tax strategies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include compliance, planning, structuring, transactions, and trust & estate taxation. Key responsibilities include:

* Overseeing and coordinating corporate tax planning with direction from senior management
* Assisting the organization's Principals with shareholder matters, including succession and estate planning
* Making recommendations on tax strategies
* Identifying areas for process improvement
* Communicating complex tax policies and plans in relatable terms to the Senior Leadership team and owners

Requirements:

* A solid understanding of Canadian taxation as it relates to corporations and its impact on the business' shareholders
* Ability to communicate effectively across teams and communicate complex information in a meaningful way
* Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of the Tax Act and its application
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Positive attitude and a desire to contribute to building corporate culture

Preferred qualifications include:

* CPA designation or Master of Taxation
* Completion of or pursuing the In-depth tax program
* Experience with partnership taxation or taxation issues specific to real estate
* Familiarity with cross-border tax compliance
