Job Summary

DIRTT is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and manage safety-related documentation.
  • Coordinate safety orientations and procure personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager and Director to plan and execute safety training programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
  • Manage and update safety documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS) and safety manuals.
  • Monitor and report on safety compliance and performance metrics.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and participate in safety drills and exercises.
Requirements
  • Experience in workplace health and safety is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in safety recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and mitigate safety risks.
