About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Primary Health Care Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Conduct medication reconciliation and identify and resolve drug-related problems
  • Participate in interprofessional medical rounds and provide patient education
  • Make therapeutic recommendations to the medical team
  • Ensure safe and effective drug therapy through participation in and oversight of drug distribution systems
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
  • Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
