Electronics Design Engineer for Transportation Systems

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic systems for transportation applications.
Responsibilities- Design and develop electronic systems for transportation applications, including circuit design, PCB layout, and firmware development.
- Work with cross-functional teams to bring new products from prototype to production.
- Perform all aspects of technical work, including reviewing specifications, project documentation, circuit design and testing, and product testing.
- Read and interpret PCB, electrical, and mechanical schematics/drawings.
- Create accurate BOMs, Test Instructions, Assembly and Wiring Instructions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards via testing and certification processes.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in circuit design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficient in the use of electronic design software (Altium Designer and OrCAD).
- Experience in circuit theory and PCB design principles.
- Solid understanding of circuit theory, PCB design principles, and electronic components such as diodes, transistors, opt-electric devices, display technologies, discharge devices, power sources, and ICs.
- Experience with microcontrollers, embedded systems, firmware integration, and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
- Programming experience in C and experience with real-time, multi-threaded, or memory-constrained operating systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
