Bridge CAD Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge CAD Engineer to join our team as a Transportation Structures Specialist. As a key member of our multi-discipline team, you will support the Bridge Engineering Group in the design and construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed digital drawings related to bridge planning, design, and construction, ensuring compliance with CAD design standards and guidelines.
  • Interpret design sketches, implement redline markups, and assist in collecting and interpreting construction records and/or as-built drawings.
  • Collaborate with Structural Engineers to provide technical support and guidance on bridge design and construction projects.
  • Coordinate with transportation, municipal, traffic management, and other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform take-offs and calculate quantities for materials and labor required for bridge construction projects.
  • Support the preparation of proposals and bids for bridge engineering projects.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architectural Science from an accredited institution.
  • Member of OACETT, Certified Engineering Technician, or Certified Technologist, in good standing (an asset).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Bridges or Structural CAD work.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or SketchUp.
  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 and SharePoint environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
