About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess clients to identify their rehabilitation needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Provide and recommend adaptive equipment and training to support clients' personal care.
- Offer counseling on lifestyle adjustments to promote clients' overall health and well-being.
- Participate in team conferences and maintain effective communication with the care team.
- Supervise employees, volunteers, and rehabilitation HCAs to ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
- Contribute to the profession's growth through information exchange and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of Physiotherapy.
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Physiotherapists and the BC College of Physical Therapists in good standing.
- Experience in a long-term care setting preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work independently and make timely decisions while effectively collaborating with the care team.
