Physiotherapist - Long Term Care Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia. As a Physiotherapist - Long Term Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our clients in long-term care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess clients to identify issues and rehabilitation needs, and develop and document care plans to address these needs.
- Provide and recommend adaptive equipment and training for personal care, and offer counseling on lifestyle adjustments to promote client independence.
- Participate in team conferences and maintain communication with the care team to ensure seamless client care.
- Supervise employees, volunteers, and rehabilitation HCAs to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Uphold professional ethics and standards, and contribute to the profession's growth through information exchange and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of Physiotherapy.
- Physiotherapists must be eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Physiotherapists and the BC College of Physical Therapists in good standing.
- Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work independently and make timely decisions while effectively collaborating with the care team.
