About the Role:The Manager, Donor Relations will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive donor relations strategy to engage and steward our donors, ensuring that they feel valued and appreciated for their support. This will involve creating and executing a range of activities, including events, communications, and recognition programs, to build strong relationships with our donors and to inspire their continued support.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a donor relations strategy that aligns with the YMCA's overall fundraising goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our donors, ensuring that they feel valued and appreciated for their support.
- Design and execute a range of activities to engage and steward our donors, including events, communications, and recognition programs.
- Collaborate with the Fund Development team to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities and to develop and implement strategies to achieve our fundraising goals.
- Provide excellent customer service to our donors, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the Communications team to develop and implement a donor relations communications strategy, including the creation of donor-focused content and the development of a donor relations newsletter.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our donor relations activities, making recommendations for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as fundraising, marketing, or communications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling donor relations communications.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using donor database software an asset.
