Overview

The Law Society of Ontario is seeking a seasoned Business Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Licensing and Accreditation department, you will be responsible for the overall lifecycle management of all projects and coordination of these plans with departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis; evaluate business needs; actively participate in strategic planning meetings; articulate business process and performance requirements; identify and assess risks and opportunities to improve business processes and/or procedures; and draft business cases.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support departmental goals and initiatives.
  • Draft project charters and develop proportional project plans.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Requirements
  • A university degree and a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation.
  • A minimum of 5 years' project management experience in a complex, issue-driven environment or in a legal setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of and proficiency in project management (planning, implementation, measurements) under conditions of rapid change, supporting a diverse user community.
