New Flyer is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in North America. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Components Design Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical components and systems for our transit buses, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless design-to-manufacturing process.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical summaries, and bill of materials.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure that designs meet customer specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Provide technical support to production, quality assurance, and customer service teams as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical systems design and technology.

Requirements:

  • College graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience in electrical design and development, preferably in the transit bus industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including circuit analysis, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in CAD/Unigraphics drafting and design software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
