The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Records Administrator to join our team in the Public Prosecution Service. As a Records Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of criminal case files and records management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately manage and track criminal case files, including liaising with court administration staff to verify file endorsements.
- Interact with Crown Attorneys, support staff, and other stakeholders to provide information and assistance.
- Consult with Records Management professionals to apply the STOR/STAR records classification system and manage PPS files in compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
- High school diploma plus four years of records administration experience.
- Experience in MS Word and Outlook, as well as accurate typing, word processing, and data entry skills.
- Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Exposure to the justice system and government services.
- Experience with JEIN and PICS.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the STAR/STOR central file management system or other central file management systems.
