Aquatic Instructor (Level 2) Opportunity


The Recreation & Parks Aquatic Programs team is recruiting for a number of Aquatic Instructors (Level 2) to work at Fountain Park Recreation Centre and Servus Credit Union Place this fall.


Responsibilities:



  • Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for all participants
  • Organizing, cleaning, and setting up equipment, as well as ensuring program supplies and equipment are readily available
  • Developing and delivering program content tailored to participants with diverse abilities, including creating lesson plans, modifications, and instructional materials
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy environment and keeping records of participant performance while distributing program evaluations

Qualifications and Requirements


To be considered, applicants must possess a Swim Instructor/Examiner certification from The Lifesaving Society.


Additional aquatic experience and training are considered assets, with preference given to candidates with teaching experience and those holding certifications such as Lifesaving Instructor, Basic First Aid, or National Lifeguard.


Compensation and Benefits


Aquatic Instructors are paid $22.13 - $26.90 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.


Successful applicants will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police information check and provide proof of educational and professional credentials.
