Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual (Spanish/English) Group Finance Manager to join their team in downtown Toronto.

This is a newly created role due to continued growth and acquisitions, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's financial strategy.

About the Role

As a key member of the finance team, you will report to the Senior VP of Finance and oversee a team of four, providing timely financial accounting information and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing financial reporting and ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance
  • Developing financial strategy with the Senior VP, Finance
  • General accounting, financial systems, tax planning, cash management, and compliance
  • Supporting profitability and strategic direction, focusing on safety, customer satisfaction, and growth
The Offer

What You Bring

To qualify for this role, you need to be CPA designated with over 5 years of corporate finance management experience, including audit roles in Canadian public firms within construction, mining, or manufacturing sectors.

Essential skills include contracting, negotiation, and change management, as well as proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling.

Fluency in English and Spanish, along with strong leadership, judgment, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, are essential.

A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business is required, with the ability to travel overseas up to 3-4 times a year.
