Long Haul Truck Driver

NK Transportation is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently over long distances, typically exceeding 100 miles per trip. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading goods, maintaining the condition of the vehicle, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently over long distances
- Load and unload goods at designated locations
- Maintain the condition of the vehicle, including inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
- Valid driver's license
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Ability to communicate effectively with central dispatch
