About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Social Worker II to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based social work services to individuals with severe and complex concurrent substance use and mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide biopsychosocial assessments, consultations, and treatment plans for clients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with hospital and community partners to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Advocate for clients and families to access necessary resources and services
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans and respond to crisis situations
  • Lead group-based therapy modules and provide individual, family, and group counseling
  • Document client records accurately and maintain confidentiality
  • Participate in peer consultation, education, and supervision of Social Work students
  • Stay up-to-date with hospital policies, procedures, and legislation
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Experience as a clinical social worker in a mental health and substance use treatment setting
  • Training and experience with individuals with severe and complex substance use and concurrent mental health disorders
  • Knowledge of harm reduction interventions, including safer injection practices and overdose prevention and response
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team and with community partners
  • High level of proficiency in electronic health record systems
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is mandatory
