Job Title: Housekeeping Operations Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team at Silver Creek Lodge. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping services
- Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure seamless service delivery
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify and address any issues or concerns
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of service and quality
- Coordinate contract services with external providers to ensure timely and effective delivery of services
- Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met at all times
- Supervise maintenance and repair services to ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order
- Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure that staff are meeting their performance targets
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Supervise in-house laundry services to ensure that all laundry is processed efficiently and effectively
- Coordinate dry cleaning and valet services to ensure that all guest laundry is processed promptly and efficiently
- Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are met at all times
- Conduct regular infection control audits to ensure that all necessary protocols are in place
- Hire and dismiss staff as necessary to ensure that the housekeeping department is adequately staffed
- Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
