Job Title: Delivery Driver

JS Delivery Services Ltd is seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and handle messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Operate and Drive Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Offer professionalism and courtesy to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Transport and Handle Dangerous Goods: Safely transport and handle hazardous materials, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Use Maps and Trip Planning Aids: Utilize maps and other trip planning tools to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery.
  • Record Trip Information: Accurately record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G driver's licence for cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles.
  • Criminal Record Check: Pass a criminal record check and driving record check (abstract).
  • Basic Security Clearance: Obtain basic security clearance.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Hold a valid driver's licence.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
