Job Summary

Nch'ḵaỷ Development Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Real Estate and Development Department, you will play a critical role in delivering storied places and communities that celebrate Squamish Values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage a range of complex land development and planning projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, financial analysis, and forecasting.
  • Lead all efforts related to the ongoing management of key assets owned (and/or managed) by Nch'ḵaỷ, including all aspects of building and asset management.
  • Coordinate and lead all phases of the real estate development process, including high-level conceptual planning and design, permitting and approvals, and project management.
  • Manage marketing efforts, promotions, tenant appreciation events, and advertising of units for rent as required.
  • Develop and administer the operating and capital budgets for properties in the assigned portfolio.
  • Oversee management of property financials, including collection of rent, resolution of arrears, invoice and expense management.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure buildings and suites are consistently well-maintained and operate in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to and manage escalated tenant issues and concerns.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in real estate, asset and/or tenant management.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from feasibility, acquisition, approvals to delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of feasibility analysis, community consultation and approvals processes.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong team player with solid communication skills – ability to meaningfully engage with diverse views, opinions and perspectives in group settings.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Required a valid BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
