This role is responsible for following up on inbound leads, maintaining an outbound book of business, and creating a welcoming environment for our clientele. We are currently expanding and seeking a motivated individual to join our Truck Sales Department based out of our Brampton, Canada office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for new clients and grow existing customer sales to meet/exceed truck sales objectives.
  • Achieve sales results by managing the local sales process, negotiating prices, assisting with financing, securing payments, and completing vehicle check-out processes.
  • Prospect new customers from existing territories and maintain contact with existing customers.
  • Maintain customer service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Build a pipeline of potential clients through various means of prospecting, including online campaigns, emails, phone calls, and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure all leads are fully qualified and set up appointments for outside sales representatives, and follow up on actions with sales and service.
  • Screen inbound leads from sources such as website forms, landing pages, and direct phone calls.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of used trucks and trailers.
  • Market used trucks through online presence and contacts.
  • Network with organizations, trade shows, associations, local groups, and other relevant events to build relationships, stay current with industry trends, and uncover sales opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes and updates in the trucking industry, including new products, features, accessories, and benefits to customers.
  • Collaborate with the service department to acquaint customers with the service team.
  • Continuously monitor the market to ensure sales are made at the best price for the business.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma, preferably in Business or Marketing.
  • 2+ years of heavy equipment or transportation equipment sales and leasing experience preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, work well in a team environment, possess customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Proven track record of sales ability will be highly valued.
  • Must be able to understand customer needs and negotiate appointments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and possessing a positive and outgoing personality.
  • Proficient with software and computers.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively, work under pressure, and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple quotes simultaneously.
