Job Summary

This is a rewarding opportunity to join Saskatchewan Polytechnic as an Organizational Development Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing organizational effectiveness by co-designing and facilitating initiatives that promote leadership development, change management, and team effectiveness.

About the Role

The position is responsible for building capacity within leadership and teams, including conflict management, and ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities. This role works collaboratively with HR staff and leaders across the institution to drive positive change and foster a healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide focused support to client portfolios to enable teams to effectively meet strategic and operational goals through research, writing, planning, coaching, training, and facilitation.
  • Lead organizational projects such as employee engagement strategies, leadership development, and employee assessment and development programs, as well as change management support.
  • Advise the Saskatchewan Polytechnic community on strategies consistent with the envisioned workplace, including developing a respectful, positive environment through learning and development initiatives.
  • Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of various intervention approaches and their results.
Training, Learning, and Development
  • Manage small to enterprise-wide learning initiatives by coordinating internal and external training and design.
  • Deliver and evaluate learning and development programs to address corporate or specific departmental needs.
  • Increase capacity to manage workplace situations, particularly by supervisors, by providing appropriate skill development.
Relationship Management

The successful candidate will provide expertise and skill development to HR Consultants, advise stakeholders on systems and workplace issues, and build strong relationships within the HR team and stakeholders to create a climate of engagement, mentorship, and trust.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a post-secondary degree in human resources management, leadership, adult education, or a closely-related discipline. Significant experience in organization development/effectiveness, change management, facilitation, coaching, and training and development is also essential.

A CPHR, CTDP, or ICF designation is an asset. The estimated salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
