Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team at Dr. Hemstock Residence. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our residence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming guests and residents with a smile and setting the tone for their experience
  • Providing administrative support, including clerical and reception duties
  • Managing office supplies and inventory
  • Fielding inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department
  • Communicating with the Marketing department to ensure a smooth move-in process
  • Assisting with administrative tasks for the marketing team
  • Providing clerical support to the management team and other staff
  • Ensuring the reception area is kept neat and tidy
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Implementing and maintaining systems for tracking guest meals and revenues

Requirements

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required
  • Prior experience in a receptionist or clerical role within a hospitality setting is considered an asset
  • Basic bookkeeping experience is preferred
  • Proven typing and general office administration skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrates a strong ability to problem solve
