We are seeking a skilled Shunt Truck Driver to join our team at Sandhar Trucking Ltd. As a Shunt Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to transport goods within our facility. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring that all cargo is secure and properly stowed.
  • Inspect Vehicle: Regularly inspect the vehicle to ensure that it is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all relevant details are communicated in a timely manner.
  • Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing it during transport.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Driver's License: A valid Class 1 or A driver's license is required.
