Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shunt Truck Driver to join our team at Sandhar Trucking Ltd. As a Shunt Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to transport goods within our terminal and ensuring the efficient movement of cargo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of your vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
