About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with medical professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and planning resident care needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Providing leadership and guidance to healthcare staff, promoting a culture of excellence and safety, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Administering medications, applying dressings and treatments, and maintaining accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to promote communication, coordination, and continuity of care.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and service to our residents. You will possess:
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
- Previous experience working with elderly individuals in long-term care or senior living environments, an asset.
