Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our residents.
About the Role:- Perform initial and regular health assessments to maintain patient quality of life.
- Support the development of individualized care plans that focus on the patient's functional abilities and support network.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of patients.
- Ensure compliance with our Philosophy of Service and patient care plan to ensure optimal health and wellness for each patient.
- Manage patient medication in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Follow the process in place for safekeeping of medications.
- Administer and record prescribed medications in accordance with facility policy.
- Provide consultation regarding patient issues and standards of care to the interdisciplinary team.
- Communicate with all other departmental teams to increase awareness of patient health changes to ensure effective service.
- Ensure all completed care tasks are documented appropriately using identified technology and tools.
- You have a Diploma in Practical Nursing and are currently registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- You possess comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- You are available to work a schedule of flexible hours and all shifts, inclusive of days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- You have advanced proficiency in the English language, and proficiency in other languages is considered an asset.
- You are able to provide a CPR & Emergency First Aid Certificate, Clear Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire.
