Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead our residential service delivery programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the implementation of programs that provide support and care to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Direction: Provide Christian leadership and direction to residential service delivery programs, ensuring compliance with government contractual agreements and Salvation Army standards.
  • Program Evaluation: Regularly review and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring a high level of care is maintained.
  • Team Leadership: Utilize a creative and team-oriented approach to programming, ensuring all legal, financial, safety, and philosophical mandates are met.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and clients, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate university degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, counseling, or a related field).
  • Certifications: Certification in social services or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience in a residential setting, with a proven track record of leadership and program management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of social services, program management, and leadership principles.
Additional Requirements
  • Background Check: Consent to undergo a background check and vulnerable sector screening.
  • Driver's Abstract: A clean driver's abstract.
  • Training: Completion of online Praesidium Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.
