Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our team at Leibel Insurance Group. As a key member of our brokerage, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of personal lines insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted and expert advice to clients on personal lines insurance products and services
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by quoting new business leads and winning back prior customers
  • Respond to client referrals and requests in a timely manner
  • Build and grow a book of business through referrals, networking, and account rounding
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client communication and interactions
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with coworkers and underwriters
  • Comply with Leibel Insurance Group minimum client and service standards
  • Provide accurate quotes to clients and attempt to secure all lines of business
  • Upsell and cross-sell all lines of business available
  • Set up financing for monthly premiums when applicable
  • Prepare documentation for insurers and complete applications for new clients
  • Issue insurance binders and pink cards
  • Provide contact information for the assigned broker to service client needs
  • Review and complete daily abeyances with follow-ups within 30 days
  • Work leads within our Customer Relationship Management program (CRM) until contact is made
  • Follow our new business workflow

Requirements

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • License in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council (minimum Level 1 General Insurance license, with Level 2 completed within 6 months)
  • 2+ years of personal lines experience, preferably in a brokerage
  • Insurance designations such as CAIB or CIP are considered an asset
  • Positive and respectful attitude with clients and coworkers
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage own book of business, and be self-motivating and detail-oriented
