Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Apropos & Apropos for Men Limited. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers with a personalized shopping experience, offering advice and guidance on our range of products.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and product information.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive store environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Will train.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, meeting sales targets and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.

Work Setting: Our clothing store is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be working in a team environment, contributing to a positive and inclusive store culture.

Tasks:

  • Accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment.
  • Operate cash register.
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
  • Provide advice about merchandise.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Assist in display of merchandise.
  • Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
  • Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease.
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease.

Art or Fashion Design Experience: We are looking for candidates with experience in footwear, jewellery, women's clothing, and men's clothing.

Weight Handling: You will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) on a regular basis.

Other Benefits: We offer free parking and a permanent work term with the opportunity to work up to 44 hours per week.
