Job Summary

Ambassadors of exceptional guest experiences, our Hosts create a lasting impression with every interaction. Under the direction of the Front of House Management Team, they maintain an efficient and organized restaurant through managing guest flow, maximizing seating capacity, and communicating with all employees.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Effectively manage reservations and walk-ins to maximize seating capacity.
  • Communicate with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain proper guest flow throughout the restaurant.
  • Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation, and seat them accordingly.
  • Develop a briefing sheet before each shift to inform coworkers of shows, concerts, special events, and NBs, as well as special requests for birthdays and anniversaries.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the restaurant trade area, including location, surroundings, nearby attractions, directions, and more.
  • Ensure the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas are fully stocked and free from clutter and debris.
  • Maintain awareness of which servers are in each section and know all table numbers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas by completing checks regularly throughout the shift.
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service position.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality or in pursuit of.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum.
