About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Repair Professional to join our team at Mount Norquay.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, making adjustments and minor repairs to various systems, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of our establishment
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure, handle repetitive tasks, lift heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks. They should also be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair
