Maintenance and Operations Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Operations Associate to join our team at Mount Norquay. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.
CompensationThe estimated salary for this role is between $40,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours of work per week. You will work under the supervision of our maintenance manager and will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs.
You will also operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse. Additionally, you will empty trash cans and other waste containers, wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
You will contact tradespersons for major repairs and perform minor repairs on appliances. You will also perform safety and security checks, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
You will work with minimal supervision and will be required to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
You must be physically demanding, able to handle heavy loads, and willing to work under pressure. You must also be able to work repetitive tasks and be dependable, have excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and judgment.
