About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Studio Camera Operator to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our live production team, you will be responsible for operating studio cameras, including pedestal, handheld, and jib, for daily morning shows and all studio productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate studio cameras to capture high-quality footage for live broadcasts
  • Liaise with production staff, including directors and producers, to set up and execute required shots
  • Act as a liaison with studio hosts and talent to ensure smooth execution of live shows
  • Assist with staging and setup of live productions
  • Continuously monitor and improve internal network systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Maximize resource utilization and collaborate with management and engineering on technical maintenance and repair

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a camera operator in live production environments
  • Deep technical knowledge of operating broadcast cameras and ancillary equipment
  • Excellent skills in color grading and manipulation
  • Natural curiosity and drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including knowledge of broadcast control systems and peripherals
  • Able to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively
