About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camera Operator to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating studio cameras, including pedestal, handheld, jib, and robotics, for daily morning shows and all studio productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate studio cameras, including setup and performance of required shots
  • Liaise with production staff, including Director and Producer, to ensure smooth execution of productions
  • Act as a liaison with studio hosts and talent
  • Assist with staging and setup
  • Continuously examine performance of internal network systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Maximize utilization of available resources to meet the growing demands of Rogers Sports and Media's market-leading content offerings
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a camera operator, with a strong technical knowledge of broadcast cameras and ancillary equipment
  • Excellent skills in working with color and collaborating with the Director and Producers to deliver the creative vision
  • A natural curiosity and drive to win, with a care for people and the world around them
  • A passion for live news and entertainment, content, and broadcasting
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with knowledge of various broadcast control systems and peripherals
