We are seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our North American team in a Project Engineering Design and Construction role, with a specialization in contaminated sites.

Key Responsibilities

As an Environmental Remediation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting strategic pursuits focused on federal sector and private industrial clients.
  2. Working on a wide variety of environmental remediation projects, including PRB, slurry walls, and liner/cap/cover scope.
  3. Providing environmental advice to other GHD teams within multi-disciplinary project teams.
  4. Remaining current on standard methodologies for innovative remediation approaches.
  5. Managing design projects, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  6. Developing and reviewing technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications.
  7. Opportunities to work on local, national, and global projects, which may require some travel.
  8. Supporting and mentoring junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced professional with:

  1. Accredited Professional Engineer in Canada or the US.
  2. Civil or environmental engineering degree.
  3. Possession of professional designation to be used to stamp/certify designs; professional designation is considered an asset.
  4. 5+ years of experience in environmental remediation and risk management.
  5. Experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management.
  6. Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs, and construction support for environmental remediation projects in Canada and the US.
  7. Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  8. Strong commitment to client service excellence.
  9. Initiative-taking.
