Job Title: Portfolio Monitoring Lead

At Nicola Wealth, we are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Monitoring Lead to join our Private Capital team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the optimization of portfolio monitoring processes and procedures across Private Capital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the creation of a centralized Private Capital Portfolio Monitoring team, scaling the operational needs of the investment teams.
  • Establish appropriate processes and systems to drive consistent reporting, cashflow forecasting and cash management, portfolio and risk analytics, internal and external presentations, etc.
  • Coordinate the execution of marketing content, facilitating engagement with the appropriate internal stakeholders (Marketing, Compliance etc.).
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of systems that improve the investment process for Private Capital, for example, the new IBOR (SimCorp Dimensions).
  • Day to day leadership and oversight of the portfolio monitoring team.
  • Collaborate within Private Capital across verticals and with Business Management and Leadership to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
  • Collaborate and provide a critical connection point between Private Capital and other teams across the firm including Fund Administration, Asset Management Operations, Marketing, etc.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in business/accounting/finance.
  • A minimum of 10 years of front or middle-office experience in private markets, portfolio monitoring, risk management or another relevant field.
  • You have a passion for Asset Management, driving operational effectiveness and portfolio monitoring.
  • You have an exceptional understanding of performance measurement and portfolio analytics.
  • Proven credit or equity investment monitoring and risk assessment skills.
  • You have proven ability to lead others to achieve high performance.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.
  • CFA, CPA, MBA, or CBV (either completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
  • Experience across credit and equity markets and strategies is considered an asset.
What We Offer:

This position comes with a base salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 plus a competitive performance bonus and participation in our profit-sharing program.
