Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents/patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents/patients
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Participate in recreational activities and social events, promoting a sense of community and belonging
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for residents/patients
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
  • One to two years' experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
