The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team in a Long Term Care position. As a Health Care Aide, you will provide support and assistance to residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as identified in the care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents in accordance with established standards of practice.
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Engage residents in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Participate in education and training to maintain competency and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One to two years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
