We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team at KUMON. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Overtime required
  • Tight deadlines
