Automotive Refinishing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Refinishing Technician to join our team at Craftsman Collision. As a leading auto body repair chain in Canada, we offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding, and masking;
  • Match colors and mix paints to meet OEM specifications;
  • Apply primers, primer surfaces, sealers, base coats, single-stage, and clear coats in accordance with manufacturers' specifications;
  • Document in-progress repairs, including photo documentation;
  • Inspect vehicles for flaws after baking and correct as needed;
  • Inspect repaired panels and bodywork to meet quality standards;
  • Clean and polish painted surfaces and imperfections to meet Craftsman Collision standards;
  • Ensure quality control hand-off to Autobody Technicians is completed;
  • Contribute to material usage tracking and consumption.

Requirements:

  • Red Seal certification or equivalent experience;
  • Passion for vehicles and commitment to quality workmanship;
  • Ability to perform light body work and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Strong verbal and listening skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction;
  • Takes pride in work performance and strives to improve skills;
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new software and online applications;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years;
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
