We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer in Test to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, working closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues early.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing processes, including functional, interface, security, performance, automation, and compatibility testing. They will also possess expertise in UI and interface automation, as well as proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java).

In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, develop test plans and design test cases, and collaborate with developers to identify and resolve issues during testing phases. You will also optimize testing and release processes, maintain testing environments and test data, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading testing efforts across Peliplat's business systems, including functional, interface, security, performance, automation, and compatibility testing.
  • Developing test plans and designing test cases for comprehensive testing, executing interface testing, system testing, and regression testing.
  • Collaborating with developers to identify and resolve issues during testing phases, tracking and analyzing issues to ensure product quality.
  • Optimizing testing and release processes, maintaining testing environments and test data, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and quality.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of experience as a test engineer. Familiarity with common testing tools like JMeter, Selenium, and Pytest is essential, along with proven experience in automation testing.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $95,000-$125,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience.
