Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at MTF Residential & Treatment Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This will involve implementing life skills workshops, conducting individual and group counselling sessions, and liaising with other social services agencies and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories
  • Implement life skills workshops and behaviour management programs
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Behaviour management Certification
  • Understanding and managing aggressive behaviour (UMAB) course
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • Cultural Awareness Training
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
