About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at Kobe Microgreens and Greenhouses Ltd. as part of our cultivation and maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivation and Plant Care
    • Plant and maintain a variety of crops, including bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflowers, cucumbers, garlic, ginger, grapes, greenhouse tomatoes, greenhouse vegetables, onions, soybeans, sweet corn, tomatoes, and zucchinis.
    • Ensure optimal growing conditions, including temperature, light, and water levels.
  • Greenhouse Maintenance
    • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
    • Operate climate controls and other equipment as needed.
  • Task Management
    • Assist in the planning and execution of tasks, including seeding, transplanting, and harvesting.
    • Monitor and report on crop progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Physical Labour
    • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Teamwork
    • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience
    • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language
    • English language proficiency required.
