About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Onico Solutions. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining strategic, high-profile executive-level dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Design and develop data warehouses to integrate data from various sources, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  2. Power BI Expertise: Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging your expertise in Microsoft BI technologies.
  3. Data Modeling: Develop data models and schemas to accurately represent structured and unstructured raw data in databases.
  4. Data Transformation: Transform raw data into preprocessed data to generate actionable insights.
  5. End-User Requirements: Proactively seek to understand end-user requirements to implement effective data visualizations in dashboards and reports.
  6. Process Automation: Proactively seek opportunities to automate time and resource-intensive processes related to data collection, validation, and transformation.
  7. Branding and Design: Contribute to the design and implementation of branding for all dashboards and reports.
  8. Future State BI Architecture: Assist in the development of a future state BI architecture and roadmap.
  9. Issue Resolution: Help investigate and diagnose issues, ensuring problems and defects are resolved in a timely manner.
  10. Data Analysis: Analyze data for trends and build analytical models to determine revenue opportunities, minimize risk, and assist business in financial modeling.
  11. Planning and Forecasting: Manage the planning and forecasting process.
  12. Analytics Leadership: Play a lead role in analytics requirements of the business.

Qualifications:

  1. Technical Expertise: 5 years of hands-on technical Business Intelligence experience with advanced knowledge in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, Power BI, Power Pivot, Visual Basic).
  2. Excel and Reporting Tools: Advanced knowledge of Excel and reporting tools, VB, relational database tools such as Access.
  3. ETL Processes: Designing ETL processes, including development of relational data models.
  4. SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills, including common table expressions, window functions, joins, complex data types, stored procedures, and update scripts.
  5. SSIS ETL Workflows: Experience in building and updating SSIS ETL workflows.
  6. Data Analysis: Ability to analyze large data sets.
  7. Financial Modeling: Developed financial models and analyses relating to planning and forecasting, business cases.
  8. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  9. Self-Directed Work: Ability to work effectively in a self-directed manner and as part of a project team.
  10. Adaptability: Ability to effectively handle ambiguous, ad-hoc tasks and changes in direction and priorities in response to unexpected events and circumstances.
  11. Additional Skills: Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc. is an asset, as is experience with Cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
