About the Role

CQ Search Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of Cognos reports and dashboards in large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of Cognos reports and dashboards in large-scale environments.
  • Complex Report Development: Develop and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and cubes using Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, and other Cognos tools.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • SQL Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
  • System Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform system testing, troubleshoot performance issues, and provide technical support for Cognos-related problems.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development work, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Data Modeling: Participate in data modeling and ensure BI solutions are aligned with overall data strategy.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of Cognos solutions.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Cognos development, with a focus on large-scale implementations.
  • Cognos Expertise: Strong proficiency in Cognos and Cognos Analytics.
  • SQL Skills: Expertise in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
  • Database Experience: Experience in working with relational databases (SQL Server, etc.).
  • Documentation Skills: Experience in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Agile Methodologies: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data Visualization: Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Presentation Tools: Experience in data visualization and presentation tools.
