Clinical Nurse Position in Student Health Services

Job Summary:

The University of Windsor is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our Student Health Services team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to students on an outpatient basis, promoting optimal wellness and a student-friendly medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with physicians to provide nursing care in accordance with the standards of practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify health risks, and provide education to students on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized University or combination of nursing diploma and additional courses/training.
  • Certificate of Competence, Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Three to Five years clinical nursing experience, preferably in a primary care setting.
  • Valid, current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in young adult health, including mental health.

Working Conditions:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Classification VI per Schedule A of the Collective Agreement.
