Key Responsibilities- Woodworking and Finishing: Make minor adjustments and repairs to furniture, prepare, sand, and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts, and stain or finish wood to specified color.
- Assembly and Installation: Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles, and install hardware on furniture and fixtures.
- Quality Control: Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards, and mark defective parts or products for repair.
- Maintenance and Repair: Clean, polish, and wax furniture, and make minor repairs to furniture.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, and organizational skills.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and handling of heavy loads.
