Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor, Day Evening Weekend Position

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team in Surrey, B.C. as a Full Time Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor, Day Evening Weekend. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance use.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate client's vocational rehabilitation needs through collaborative methods, including determining their interests, skills, and abilities, and facilitating the setting of appropriate vocational rehabilitation plans.
- Develop and implement vocational rehabilitation plans that integrate vocational goals into treatment plans, engaging clients in discussion to determine individual needs and potential career paths, and building trusting relationships.
- Provide ongoing support services to clients related to employment, including vocational rehabilitation and psych-education counselling, facilitating group meetings, and liaising with other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Conduct job development, direct marketing, and job search activities, developing networks and links with community employers, negotiating job accommodations and workplace agreements, and maintaining up-to-date information on labour market trends and job marketing techniques.
- Monitor client's progress on a continual basis, meeting with the client, revisiting goals, highlighting accomplishments, re-evaluating goals, and communicating client progress to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable social or health sciences program, plus two (2) years' recent related experience providing vocational rehabilitation counselling and job marketing/development to individuals with substance use and/or mental illness.
- Eligibility for certification as a rehabilitation professional with a recognized association.
- Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business use.
