Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Neurology/Stroke/Medicine Unit. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide excellent patient and family-driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care that is safe, effective, and efficient
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Think critically and make decisions that prioritize patient care
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills

Requirements

  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical and/or clinical nursing experience working with older adult, dementia, and cognitively impaired population preferred
  • Neuro/stroke experience preferred
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
