Caretaker Position at Estevan Comprehensive School

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our team at Estevan Comprehensive School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the school facilities, as well as performing various maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and fixtures
- Operate tractors, mowers, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Caretaking Supervisor
- Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent preferred)
- Valid Fireman's Certificate (obtained within the first 12 months of employment)
- Valid Driver's License
- Direct experience in the caretaking field (an asset)
- Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment
- General mechanical and plumbing knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to operate tractors, mowers, and equipment efficiently and safely
- Knowledge of computers and applicable software
- Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Commitment to the ideals of public education and the mission, vision, and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone Public School Division
